Responsibilities

The work you may do

  • Project-related client contact by telephone, email and in person including board and council meetings
  • Design development from Concept level to Final detailed design
  • Construction cost estimating
  • Project management or assisting Project Manager to successfully complete projects on time and on budget
  • Preparation of Plans and Construction Documents guiding the construction of municipal infrastructure projects
  • Preparation of regulatory permit applications for projects
  • Preparation of technical design reports for various municipal projects
  • Preparation of details, specifications, and bidding documents
  • Development of project funding packages with assistance from funding staff

Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required
  • Minimum of 4 years of civil engineering experience is required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
  • PE license required (IA, IL or WI PE preferred)
  • Previous client liaison and project management experience or a desire to develop into that role
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • This position requires you to have authorization to work in the United States for any employer. We will not provide sponsorship for this position.
