Responsibilities
The work you will do
- Construction site project management/inspection
- Project plan & specifications interpretation
- Complete required WisDOT reports utilizing the following software:
- AASHTOWare Project (AWP)
- Materials Information Tracking (MIT)
- Lane Closure System (LCS)
- Submit reports and documentation consistent with current WisDOT standards
- Communicate with clients and engineering staff on the progress of the project
- Provide record drawings of the projects
- Assist with design plans utilizing Civil 3D software
Qualifications
What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree in Civil Engineering technology, Bachelor’s degree Civil Engineering or related degree required by May 2021
- 2.75 GPA minimum required
- Valid driver’s license required
- WisDOT field experience or HTCP certifications would be a plus
- Attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple tasks desired
- Willingness and ability to travel for projects including overnight
- Desire to work in the field to help projects get built
- Strong communication skills
