HSE Manager - 1248957
The HSE Manager will work along with the rest of the plant staff to ensure that all team members are working in a Safe environment that promotes the Health and Safety of all individuals.
Required Education/Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of industrial experience
- Manufacturing experience and must be able to organize and manage multiple tasks related to HSE compliance.
- A post-secondary degree is a plus
- Must possess the basic skill set to manage HSE projects and make presentations
- Basic Knowledge of Health and Safety principles
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees training and provides technical assistance to ensure the proper management (e.g. packaging, labeling, inspection, etc.) of non-hazardous and hazardous wastes generated in his/her area of responsibility.
- Coordinate and conduct all phases of training (fork truck, crane, confined space, fall protection, electrical, etc.)
- Conduct daily observations/interventions to assure safe work practices are being followed and providing feedback to departments.
- Provide assistance with investigations on injuries & major incidents to ensure processes are followed using incident flow chart. Ensure root cause is found.
- Create and implement all required safety training to include new employees’ orientation.
- Conduct Industrial Hygiene sampling (i.e. noise, air, etc.).
- Assist with the development and implementation of specialized initiatives
- Perform daily contractor safety audits.
- Ensure all corrective actions and integrated audits are completed on a monthly basis.
- Act as a teacher and trainer on the floor daily to create sustainable change.
