Job Description: Territory Sales Manager


Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager (TSM) to oversee sales operations in the Midwest region. As a TSM, you will be responsible for managing multiple divisions and working closely with distributors in the specified territory. This position requires expertise in working for a manufacturing company or an independent manufacturer's representative.


Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve territory sales targets.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Minnesota, and Kentucky.
  3. Serve as the primary point of contact for distributors and provide exceptional customer service.
  4. Promote and sell a wide range of products including loaders, capacitors, contactors, replacement HVAC electrical parts, brackets, installation products, and UV lights.
  5. Take full ownership of the product portfolio and ensure its successful promotion and sales within the assigned territory.
  6. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.
  7. Travel extensively within the territory (70-80% early on) to meet with distributors, attend trade shows, and conduct product demonstrations.
  8. Train and manage the representatives of the rep companies to ensure they are aligned with sales objectives and effectively representing the company.
  9. Monitor sales performance, analyze sales data, and prepare regular reports for management.


Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record in sales, preferably in a similar territory sales management role.
  2. Strong knowledge of distributors and the sales process within the Midwest region.
  3. Experience working for a manufacturing company or an independent manufacturers representative is highly desirable.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with distributors, customers, and internal teams.
  5. Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  6. Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  7. Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
