Senior Landscape Architect/Designer (Construction)


We are seeking self-motivated individuals looking for an opportunity in our Hawaii Market to integrate

into our design team and work with the implementation of multiple projects throughout the

Hawaiian Islands.


Candidates must be strong, creative, and a well-rounded Senior Landscape Architect Project Manager

with experienced design and management skills focusing on the creation and execution of Construction

Documents and Observation. The position involves the design and implementation for luxury hospitality

and private community projects throughout Hawaii and beyond. Responsibilities include developing

design ideas and guiding others through all phases of the design process, ranging from Concept Design

to Construction Documentation and site implementation. We are looking for an experienced candidate

that we can build a localized office around in Hawaii that supports our efforts on multiple projects

within the Islands.


Responsibilities will include:


 Design and management of projects from concept through construction drawings;

 Construction Observation and implementation working with current project teams and

insuring the quality of finished projects while working with clients budgets for both service

and final products;

 Responding to the direction of a Principal;

 Proven experience of project management, design and construction document production

management, client meetings and group presentation;

 General office duties;

 Ability to relocate to Hawaii and travel is required for this position (subject to Covid

conditions.)


Candidates should possess the following skills:


 Field Construction/Construction Observation Experience (in Hawaii a plus);

 Strong sense of project management, including client and consultant coordination;

 Understanding of Client/Developer needs, contractor needs, and scheduling to help

facilitate the design implementation of projects while maintaining budgets and schedules.

 Demonstrated technical skills in the preparation of working drawings in plan, section,

elevation, and construction details;

 Working knowledge of plants and planting design – Mediterranean through Tropical, and a

desire to expand your flora knowledge base;

 An understanding of Irrigation design and documentation;

 A team player who collaborates as part of a diverse studio team from design through

execution;

 Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills;

 Possesses strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analysis skills;

 Displays leadership qualities, drive, and self-initiative;

 High proficiency in AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office;

 Professional degree in Landscape Architecture;

 Licensed Landscape Architect preferred.
