Project Architect/Architectural Associate - 1703039


We are seeking talented individuals to fill the roles of Project Architect and Architectural Associate in Indianapolis, IN. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform architectural and design assignments using specialized technical expertise, exercising professional judgment in autonomous decisions.
  • Take responsibility for projects of moderate complexity and potentially lead less experienced staff members.
  • Coordinate work of specialty groups related to your assigned segment of a project and assume lead roles in specific project segments.
  • Conduct preliminary studies of job requirements and scope, establish design criteria, and formulate design concepts.
  • Develop graphic and written material for a major segment of a client project.
  • Direct architectural support staff in the development of detailed design and construction documents.
  • Coordinate architectural efforts with engineering groups, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Explore and develop innovative concepts and approaches to solve complex architectural problems.
  • Conduct studies on new architectural methods, codes, processes, and materials.
  • Review client change orders and recommend appropriate action.
  • Manage construction contract administration tasks, including bid analysis, contract awards, change orders, and pay requests.
  • Assist in the preparation and regulation of project forms for project management.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and responsibly, in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
  • Act as a positive representative of the company, upholding its core values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 Job Requirements:

  • Must hold an (NAAB) accredited professional degree in Architecture
  • Completed or in the process of completing the NCARB Intern Development Program or enrolled in the Architectural Experience Program™ (AXP™) and actively pursuing licensure.
  • Architectural license is preferred.
  • Preferred experience in government/institutional design.
  • 4-15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoDesk Revit® is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office® Suite.
  • Advanced computer-generated rendering ability is preferred.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills.
  • Experience working with internal design teams is preferred.
  • Ability to visit and safely traverse construction and project sites while complying with all applicable safety codes and requirements

Ideal Candidate:

  • 10+ years of experience minimum in architectural firm
  • STRONG Revit skills
  • Technical/production person
  • In office
