Traveling Retail Construction Superintendent
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Traveling Retail Construction Superintendent. You will oversee all aspects of remodel retail construction projects within malls and strip malls.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of retail remodel construction projects.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring they meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Develop and implement construction schedules and budgets.
- Conduct daily job site inspections to ensure safety and quality compliance.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with all project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Resolve construction issues proactively and efficiently.
- Document project progress with clear and accurate reports.
- Oversee all safety protocols on the job site.
- Ensure all permit requirements are met.
- Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's construction processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail construction as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent with mall and strip center experience.
- Proven track record of completing retail remodel construction projects on time and under budget.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to effectively manage and motivate subcontractors.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and protocols.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to travel extensively, focusing on the East Coast to the Midwest.
