Senior Procurement Associate
Position Summary

The position involves preparing, reviewing, and administering contracts for construction projects. The role also includes supervising Contract Administrators and Procurement Office personnel. You will protect and promote the interests of the Company, reporting to the Project Executive for Business and Administrative Practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Contract Administration: Prepare, review, and manage contracts related to construction projects.
- Supervision: Oversee Contract Administrators and procurement staff.
- Interest Protection: Safeguard Johns Hopkins' interests in all contract-related matters.
- Communication: Draft and explain complex procurement documents and processes; communicate with various stakeholders including contractors and vendors.
- Knowledge Application: Utilize knowledge of procurement theories, contract terms, bidding processes, and industry practices.
Background Profile
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business or a construction related area.
- Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on a 2 years of experience in Contract Administration, Construction Administration, Project Management or a related field for 1 year of education basis. i.e. 8 years
- Experience: Requires Five (5) years of related and progressive experience as a Contract Administrator or comparable position.
- Skills:
- Proficient in procurement processes, contract terms, and construction industry practices.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office and project management applications.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and understand construction risks.
