Prcoess Engineer | Water Treatment Lead
A leading Water Design Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is seeking a Process Engineer with expertise in water treatment plant design and project management.
Responsibilities
The Process Engineer will lead projects from conceptual planning to bid-ready documents, which includes:
- Facility and equipment layouts
- Design calculations
- Equipment vendor coordination
- Management of support disciplines
- Coordination with regional offices and regulatory agencies
- Performing quality reviews of design work
Design Responsibilities:
- Lead evaluations, selections, and implementation of drinking water processes
- Detail design of water treatment processes such as:
- Conventional treatment (coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation)
- Conventional and advanced filtration systems
- Membrane systems
- Conventional and advanced disinfection systems
- Pump selection and pump station design
- Chemical storage and feed systems
- Piping and instrumentation drawing production
- Prepare specifications and contract documents
- Support construction projects, including oversight of construction drawings and 3D models
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical, mechanical, or biosystems/biological engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of direct design experience with municipal water plants
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
