HVAC Service Technican

Overview

We’re looking for a highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our growing service team. This position is ideal for a seasoned technician with strong diagnostic capabilities, mechanical aptitude, and a passion for customer satisfaction. The right candidate will be confident working on large systems (15 tons+), comfortable with a range of technologies—including chillers, boilers, and VRFs—and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

As part of a dynamic service team, you'll play a key role in maintaining mission-critical HVAC systems in environments such as distribution centers, hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and food service equipment with accuracy and minimal callbacks.
  • Perform service work on systems 15 tons and above, including scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Maintain large PM contracts involving 5+ units.
  • Replace or repair defective system parts, components, and controls.
  • Work on VRF, VFD, chilled water systems, mini-splits, RTUs, boilers, chillers, and building controls.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and complete all scheduled jobs in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and document preventative maintenance activities for customers.
  • Deliver exceptional service and clear communication with clients and internal teams.


Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years in commercial HVAC service roles
  • Active EPA Certification (required)
  • OSHA 10 & 30 certified
  • Manufacturer certifications (preferred)
  • Ability to service a wide range of systems with limited oversight
  • Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior techs and helpers
  • Familiar with state codes and service standards


Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable working flexible hours and participating in on-call rotations
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Intermediate computer proficiency for field service reporting
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs, and work from ladders, rooftops, or confined areas
  • High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or certifications a plus
