Sheet Metal Division Manager - 1207331

Job Summary:


The Sheet Metal Division Manager will be responsible for managing the sheet metal division of the mechanical construction company, which involves preparing client-driven proposals for the repair, maintenance, fabrication, and installation of various types of sheet metal (including stainless steel) ducts, equipment, fixtures, and ventilated ducted systems. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, an expert in ventilated ducted systems, and able to read plans, generate RFIs, review/QC shop drawings, and work with a team on submittals. This position will be in charge of a team composed of Project Engineers, Detailers, and other support staff.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare client-driven proposals for sheet metal repair, maintenance, fabrication, and installation projects.
  • Manage a team of Project Engineers, Detailers, and other support staff to ensure successful completion of projects.
  • Read plans, generate RFIs, review/QC shop drawings, and work with a team on submittals.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients.
  • Maintain and improve upon the company's high standards for quality, safety, and professionalism.
  • Continuously develop and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and other industry professionals.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and ensure profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in sheet metal construction, with a proven track record of successful project management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication, and installation processes.
  • Familiarity with relevant software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage a team, delegate responsibilities, and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work under pressure.
