Job Overview:

As a Fire Sprinkler Estimator, you will be responsible for developing cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems. You will work with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide accurate and reliable cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems based on project requirements, specifications, and industry standards. You will use your technical expertise and knowledge of fire codes and regulations to create detailed and comprehensive cost estimates that meet the needs of the project and the client.


Key Responsibilities:

· Review project plans, specifications, and other relevant information to determine the scope and requirements for fire sprinkler systems.

· Work with project managers and engineers to develop accurate and reliable cost estimates for fire sprinkler systems, including layout, materials, and labor.

· Utilize industry standards and best practices to create detailed cost estimates based on construction documents.

· Identify and quantify major cost drivers and opportunities for cost savings in fire sprinkler system design.

· Analyze project risks and provide recommendations for mitigation.

· Provide support to project teams by answering technical questions and providing guidance on fire sprinkler system cost estimates.

· Participate in meetings with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to review project requirements and design options.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related documentation, including cost estimates and related data.


Qualifications:

 

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.

· 3+ years of experience in fire sprinkler estimating, including experience with fire suppression systems.

· Strong understanding of construction documents, design standards, and codes.

· Knowledge of local, state, and national fire codes and regulations, including NFPA and other applicable standards.

· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

· Proficiency in estimating software (e.g. Timberline, Accubid, WinEst) is a plus.
