Sales Engineer - 1446822

We design and manufacture microprocessor based controllers for the hostile environment of the HVAC/R industry. Our product line also includes refrigeration compressors, temperature, pressure, humidity and current sensors, as well as custom support software. We operate in a dynamic, fast-paced and customer-focused environment where responsiveness and technical sales support is critical to success of the company. The Sales Engineer will facilitate the growth of the company by supporting the Sales/Account Management Team through the following activities:


Core Job Duties/Responsibilities


-       Partner with Sales Managers to plan, prepare and execute on strategic account projects

-       Prepare and send quotations, close sales, and achieve sales quotas

-       Develop sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails, researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, and building rapport

-       Provide technical information and explanations, understanding customer needs and requirements

-       Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company approved databases

-       Listen to, understand and convey customer requirements to NPD and Tech Support areas

-       Fill orders by transferring orders to Order Entry, communicating expected delivery dates

-       Maintain customer database with up-to-date information and contacts

-       Assist to establish/streamline policies and procedures throughout the department, support best practices in sales forecasting, reporting, and communications

-       Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives

-       Travel to project and customer sites as needed

-       Other duties as assigned by supervisor


Qualifications/Competencies


-       BA/BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls), Technical Field, or combination of successful related education and experience in a similar technical industry role

-       Read architectural, mechanical and electrical blueprints and have solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems

-       Prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously

-       Perform accurately in a detail oriented environment

-       Excellent systems skills including Excel, Outlook, Word

-       Communicate effectively verbally and in writing

-       Establish and maintain effective working relationships
