Raymond Search Group seeks a highly qualified Chief Estimator to join a leading wood framing contractor specializing in advanced construction techniques. Our client leverages panelized roof systems with steel bar joists and wood framing, tackles heavy timber projects, executes seismic retrofits, and delivers exceptional commercial framing solutions.

Chief Estimator Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction plans and specifications to develop accurate project cost estimates.
• Collaborate with joist suppliers and general contractors to ensure material compatibility and pricing.
• Manage addendums, RFIs, and RFSs for project clarity and cost control.
• Conduct precise material takeoffs using specialized software like On Screen Takeoff.
• Create detailed cost breakdowns for efficient project budgeting.
• Maintain clear communication with internal teams, suppliers, and general contractors.
• Upload and distribute drawings to relevant stakeholders using online platforms.
• Utilize Procore, BuildingConnected, Box, and Dropbox for seamless project document management.

Estimator Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably within wood framing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in using technology to optimize workflow and ensure project success, including On-Screen Takeoff, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat PDF markups
