Our client provides facility and maintenance teams with the HVAC equipment, parts, supplies and expertise teams need to do the job. They operate primarily in the business to business (B2B) environment where its products are sold through multiple channels including licensed HVAC dealers, HVAC contractors or direct to facilities owners and Institutional businesses such as Universities, K-12 School systems, property management firms, local and State governments, and a variety of hospitals and healthcare providers. They are a full line Distributor that primarily sells Carrier & Bryant equipment and other products to facilities and businesses in their respective markets. They offer customers a wide range of HVAC/R product lines and services at competitive pricing, best-in-class customer service and valuable, timesaving services that position them as an industry leader. With over 200+ locations, in 28 states, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Latin America, Mexico and Canada there is a location to service our customers HVAC/R needs.  


SUMMARY

 

The Strategic Account Manager is the primary customer contact for commercial, institutional, educational and hospitality accounts. This role is responsible for increasing the share of wallet on assigned accounts along with business development of new accounts.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales related to HVAC replacement and retrofit equipment, system upgrade products, aftermarket parts, supplies and accessories in an assigned account list.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with commercial, institutional, educational, hospitality maintenance & purchasing departments and service contractors. Share the value proposition and develop solutions that leads to sales growth and long-term customer year over year repeat business.
  • Work closely with national account team to implement contracts and national group purchasing agreements.
  • Analyze the territory and develop, execute, and monitor sales programs.
  • Implement the CE Sales Management Process, identify a robust pipeline by developing opportunities that produce sales growth.
  • Develop and implement account penetration strategies to include regular business reviews for key customers to maximize sales growth.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Industrial Distribution or Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly functional in a team environment
  • Deliver a value based and consultive sales approach.
  • Sales and growth oriented
  • Profit driven. Seeks ways to improve sales and increase margins through consultative selling.
  • Ability to present an effective sales presentation, both written and verbal


Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated performance history in sales and/or new market development.
  • Experience in working with organizational purchasing and maintenance points of contact.
  • Self-motivated, possessing a high energy level and a desire to achieve goals beyond what is required.
  • Strong business/problem solving skills, high sense of urgency and strong communication/interpersonal skills.
  • Prior work experience and/or internship experience in sales or marketing is a plus.
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Equipment parts and supplies is a plus but required.
  • PC literacy required (Microsoft products)
  • Salesforce or other CRM experience a plus.
